PV systems are a long-term investment – at the same time, high electrical energy is generated on rooftops and across open areas. PYROTEGA® protects these systems by permanently monitoring PV strings and detecting critical conditions such as arc faults, overcurrents and unusual power losses early – before an electrical problem can turn into a fire.
In an emergency, PYROTEGA® disconnects the affected strings from the DC circuit in a flash, significantly reducing the fire load. The rapid shutdown helps prevent damage to the roof, building envelope and surroundings, providing additional safety for operators, emergency services and all persons in the building.
The AI-powered arc fault detection is based on trained models and sets new standards in response time, sensitivity and intelligence. PYROTEGA® combines fast power electronics with smart analysis and thus offers more than conventional protection devices: active, traceable fire protection specifically for modern PV systems.
Multiple safety-relevant functions in one system – deployable as a central shutdown and monitoring unit for PV strings.
AI-based models detect typical and atypical arc fault signatures. Faults are identified early and targeted shutdowns are initiated.
Rapid disconnection of affected PV strings – automatically on fault detection or via a dedicated firefighter interface.
Continuous measurement of currents, voltages and power per PV string for ongoing condition monitoring.
Fault alerts and status data are transmitted directly via the mobile network – even without LAN or WLAN.
Integration into existing control and monitoring systems via WLAN or standard LAN interfaces.
Web UI or app visualizes fault alerts, active shutdowns and historical data for operators and emergency services.
PYROTEGA® is designed to comply with relevant standards in the areas of device safety, fire shutdown and arc fault interruption.

PYROTEGA® is available in different device sizes for various numbers of PV strings. Each device consists of a central motherboard and frontboards – each frontboard monitors one string.
